Daily Inqilab

The Daily Inqilab is a Bengali Newspaper published in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was first published on 1st February 1986. Inqilab Publications Ltd owns it. The Daily Inqilab is a Pro Islamic Newspaper. When The Daily Inqilab was established, it was a strong supporter of the Jatiya Party, as its then editor was a minister of Lieutenant General Hossain Mohammed Ershad’s cabinet. In the early 90s, it started to support BNP. Though, now it supports Awami League and anti-Jamaat E Islami.

The founding editor of the daily is Maulana Abdul Mannan. Maulana Abdul Mannan was one of the top leaders of the Peace and Welfare Council, which was set up to help the Pakistani Army in 1971. Moulana Mannan was an organizer of Al-Badr and a key collaborator of the Pakistani Army during the Liberation War of Bangladesh. He was the Minister for Religious Affairs in Lieutenant General Hossain Mohammed Ershad's cabinet. His son, A. K. M. Bahauddin (Chief Coordinator of Bangladesh Olama Mashaekh Committee), is the current editor of the Daily Inqilab. Its executive editor is Ruhul Amin Khan.


Regular sections of The Daily Inqilab are Jatiyo Shongbad (National News), Antorjatik Shongbad (International News), Kheladhula (Sports News), Mohan got, Shara Banglar Khobor (Regional News), Ovvontorin, Shompadokiyo (Editorial), Baybsha Banijjo (Business News), and Binodon Protidin (Entertainment News and Gossip). The Daily Inqilab’s weekly feature pages are Adiganta, Corporate, Muktangon, Inqilab Shahitto (literary magazine), Shikkhangon, Career, IT and Telecom (ICT News and Reviews), Islami Jibon (Islamic Lifestyle), Dhormo Dorshon (Islamic Philosophy), Shonali Ashor, Shastho (Health Advice and Tips), and Kheladhula (Weekly Sports News Analysis).
