TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid has announced this on last Saturday. He said that this action was taken to start away to talk to Pakistan's government, which had been closed.
The TTP spokesman said, "We declared a ceasefire for a month, and we appeal to all combatants to respect the decision. At the same time, I am asking to stop such attacks."
Referring to the ceasefire, Shahidullah Shahid said, "We decided to make no attack for one-month thinking about the positive response of Pakistani government, religious leaders and the future of the application to improve Pakistan."
At last month, the government of Pakistan began peace talks with Taliban's representatives to stop the violence in the long seven years.
However, the government was forced to shut down discussion in the face of continuous violence of the Taliban. Then the Pakistani government began bombing the area inhabited by the Taliban and the government has said clearly that discussion will not be continued until the Taliban armistice.
