The Local Government and Rural Development Ministry (LGRD) has canceled Dhaka's representative's daily and state holidays until further consideration for adequate leadership of malaria combat operations in the capital.
According to an formal notification from the LGRD ministry, local authorities, town corporations, numerous ministries and organizations have adopted multiple programs to combat the latest epidemic of dengue fever to kill the larvae of Aedes mosquito, clean the town and raise consciousness among individuals.
In order to correctly manage and supervise these programs in order to efficiently control mosquitoes, the ministry has canceled all representative's holidays until the next notification reads.
